I try to start holiday shopping in the early fall and buy one or two gifts at at time to spread out the expense.

Yes....I try to by items on sale . I keep a storage box for each of my children on the top shelf in my closet where I store the awesome deals I find so when it comes time for needing gifts I can easily look at what I already have on hand. I also have a gift closet where I place great deals I find for future gift giving to family and friends.

We shop for Christmas the day after the LAST Christmas. Great then put them away in boxes. All through the year we shop for unusual things on sale. We also pay our bills extra every month in order not to have to pay any bills in December. That way when the "new" Christmas decorations come out we can purchase a little of them. We are done. Sorry, no we have not done our cards. We are usually late with them. Nope.. we are not perfect, only human. God is the only perfect one on earth.

Christmas shopping is not a big deal in our family. both my husband and I make gifts for those that we choose to give to. We also buy smaller items, year round, for the stocking stuffers. We've haven't had any after christmas bills come to our mailbox since 1996. I quilt and my husband carves, and our relatives know that each year they will receive something from us that is hand crafted and made with love. We are not cheap, just frugal, but we do give purchased gifts for birthdays through out the year.

Yep, picked up two Denver Broncos vs KC Cheifs tix for my sis-in-law and nephew. Huge fans and have never been able to make it to a game. SHoudl be a good Christmas for them. :)

Family is gettign way too big, so we opted to draw names for gifts this year. Our family got those two and a couple others, so have no problem spending a bit more on a single gift per persone this year. This way they can get somehtign they will really love with not all the little stuff that you're stuck trying to find a place for after the tree comes down.

I'm spreading out shopping too this year. Next paycheck, we're gettginour kids taken care of, then my husband's small family, then we'll be all done by Dec. :) So we can relax!! And pay cash for everything. :)

Wow, please excuse the typos throughout the post above. That's what I get for cramming some me time into office time...oops.
