Do you think children's cereal labeling is deceiving?

Kellogg’s, the nation’s largest cereal maker, is coming under fire for a claim on the front of “Cocoa Krispies” boxes that says, “Now helps support your child’s immunity.” Critics are questioning the claim, and some say children's cereal box labeling industry-wide can be confusing and in some cases deceiving. What do you think?

    When "high fructose corn syrup" is listed on the ingredient list alongside the claim that the cereal is a "smart choice", we are in trouble

      No. As long as you disregard the front of the box, the ingredients and nutrition information is clear.

      The nutrition info is on the box. It is up to the parents to decide what their children eat.

        I'll try to explain this to my kids but they don't "get it" or care.

          FDA slammed down hard finding Dr Weil guilty (he is part of the natural health underground and is not part of big corporate America elite)and fining him big time for making health claims about taking a natural supplement (astralagus) to help avert and/or fight swine flu.

          Yet Kellogg (who is Big corporate American elite) is allowed to get away with exact same type and kind of activity by making exact same types and kinds of claims that FDA slammed Dr Weil for. FDA is a Hypocrisy.

            The FDA is riddled with corporate paid interests. It isn't hypocrisy, it is a tragedy.
