Do you think your teens keep secrets from you?

We all worry and try to keep the door open for our teens to come to us about anything that troubles them, but navigating the complexities of parent-teen communication is a big challenge for most families. Do you think your teens keep things from you?

Yes. All teens do and it's totally normal. I just hope they come to me about the really important stuff.

No. My child shares everything with me. We have a very open, trusting relationship.

Possibly. I think we share a lot, but I'm guessing my teen still has some secrets to keep.

My daughter will be 17 on the 25th this month. 16 as too much from her for the whole family.

When she asks me something and I tell her no, it's because I'm the parent. We bend alot with her but when it comes to her safely we say No! That causes world war III and the drama that comes with it. Whats the difference between getting depressed because your parents won't let you and getting depressed becuase they always think they are entitled

As a parent we have to understand what the teen wants, then you will get those points from the comments or statement if something you can give a go ahead or not.For other reasons you need to explain why u say no.Because if you always say no,she/he will come up with dirty tricks as to cheat or lie to the parent.Sometimes we parents we need to be open to our teens. They must no our wants and don'ts.
