Nothing less than $1,000. He knows I do most of the shopping for our family, so it's not an issue.

I'm not "whipped". We have a joint checking account. We HAVE to know what each of us are doing or chks could bounce!

$150.00???? That means I would have to check with him everytime I got groceries!

We discuss most things, but I am never asking permission. He and I trust each other to be responsible in our spending.

You need to discuss things with your spouse when it comes to finances, couples usually argue over three things, sex, money and kids. This is a simple way of avoiding it, I don't discuss buying cloths becuase they are needed but if it is anything over $200 then I tell him. If I have money saved up for me and I want to spend it on me that is my deal, as long as the family accounts are good and everything is taken care of then my thoughts are that it isn't for him to have a say in the decision but I will let him know what is going on.
