We love educational DVD's. After watching "Your Baby Can Read" my oldest daughter could read at 15 months, my youngest daughter could read at 9 months. My oldest daughter who is now 6 can read at a very advanced level. My youngest who is now 3 can read sentences with large print. Both girls use DVD's for Spanish and Chinese. We also love "Signing Times"
As a mother of four young sons ages 5, 4, 2 and 11 months, I have very happy to have found that the "Teach Your Baby To Read" videos really do work! My oldest started watching the videos everyday when he was three months. By the time he was two was reading phonetically and he was featured on two news stations because he could read so well. Now he is in kindergarden and can read at a sixth grade level. Our four year old can read hundreds of words and our two year old can read well over a hundred words. Our eleven month old loves watching a video everyday. All of our boys have a great love of books which I attribute to the videos. I was skeptical when I first purchased the videos that a baby could learn to read but I am now a firm believer that a baby can and I have three sons to prove it!
We absolutely would recommend the Your Baby Can Read Series to anybody. We were given it as a gift when our first son was born. He started watching the videos around 3 months old and by 15 months he could say over 100 words. He knew how to read the names of colors before he actually knew the colors themselves. He is now 4 years old and can read books recommended for 7 year olds and up. When he was very little, we were constantly getting stopped by people wanting to know how old our son was after hearing his speak. He not only can read, he can count to 100 and is beginning to add and subtract numbers, he can write his alphabet and count to 10 in three languages. We attribute his advanced level to this series. In fact, we also purchased the books early on and our son still loves to read them 3 years later. We recently purchased the whole series and two sets of the dvds so we can keep a set in our car. They are of wonderful quality...sturdy to stand up to little hands and lots of use. The whole program is wonderful and we couldn't be more thrilled.
