I'm a mom of 2 girls, one grown, 24 and one almost 11 yrs old and todays' fashions are ridiculous. Not only are they too skimpy but they are cut so tiny that they fit only the thinnest of girls. My girls are both on the chubby side and not even the XL in juniors fit my youngest daughter. They don't leave any room but hug every curve that young girls going through puberty are beginning to have which doesn't leave much to the imagination. I feel that clothes should be a little more roomy until they are a little more mature.

I believe that women's fashions should not be for tween's until the tween is of the appropriate age to handle the consequences of dealing with what opinions the clothing invokes in others. If the tween is dressing just as sexy as a lot of the adults that she sees, then older boys and sometimes men will expect the child to act how they dress, which could lead to the child being abducted as the boys and men will see that because she is dressing like she is older, then she must be older and therefore not have a problem doing what older teenagers and adults do. Children need to dress like children and not like high class models...
