      Yes, I found out with all 4 of my kids. I would have loved to keep it a surprise, but I couldn't stand the suspense!!

        We found out with our 1st child (a girl) once we were sure there were no problems. Our second one is being stubborn, so we'll be surprised.

            I'm glad I found out, I feel like it helped me bond with my boy while I was pregnant. And it was still a surprise -- just earlier on!

                  Not with any of my children, and I have 3! You know it will be either a boy or a girl & you'll love them to pieces regardless.

                    I had a amniocyntesis to check for spina bifida. There was a family history, two sisters died from it. My son has no thyroid & autisim

                      I don't feel that we are meant to know ahead of time. Plus it is so much more fun when the doctor says "It's a _____!" in the delivery roo

                          We didn't have the option. I kinda liked it better that way.

                          Ultrasounds aren't foolproof, either.

                            In this culture of immediate satisfaction it doesn't surprise me that it seems everyone just has to find out. I could have known with all 3 of my kids and chose not to. (They're now 20, 17, and 6) Even people in the medical community were surprised each and every time I declined to know. But I believe that we, as humans, were not meant to know in advance. Puh-leeeeeze - planning purposes? Planning for what? A room, clothes, give me a break - if you cannot deal with waiting to find out the sex of the baby, you are in for a whole lot of grief once that baby gets here. Health issues, perhaps.....but gender - no way.

                              We knew we were having a son but told no one. I had a amnio to check for birth defects. My husbands two sisters died from spina bifida. Our son was born with no thyroid gland and has autisim.
