Obviously, you have never signed up for something. When you sign up for a sport they dont tell you "Oh by the way we will be saying Booty and shaking it." At 6 you think it will be learning cheers and have fun. (clean) You dont think your signing them on how to be sexy. What is the little girl is in a grocery store and is saying this cheer and shaking it...There are perverts out there! Look at the big picture before you say something. My son is in Flag football and they went through 4 coaches before they ended up with one, that is backed up by the the director and Team Mom, that spits,curses and yells in thier face. While other parents stood by and complained next to me I stood up and had a good talking to her. Now, you say that is being loud mouth, while I raise my son to respect others I am showing him how not to act in public no matter who you think you are. I agree that we need to be advocates for our children. If we don't stand up and say that's inappropriate then no one else will. There are a lot of cheers out there that don't require questionable lyrics. Fun cheers. I went to Cheerleading camp when I was little and never had to do things that made anyone uncomfortable. Flag football should be the same way. Fun and a sense of team, not being yelled at or belittled by a coach or anyone you see as an authority figure. Adults need to make good decisions for the little ones, they can't make those decisions for themselves.

She needs to be more concerned about the way the father is squeezing the daughters hand/arm for no reason. Watch the video again! He was hurting her little arm and when she finally broke free she was rubbing it like it hurt. I HATE parents trying to look like they are good parents in front of people. I agree except to say that she shouldn't have gone on any of the shows at all. I live just fifteen miles from where this took place and was surprised that it made the LOCAL news! How stupid the whole thing is, put your child in a more constructive program and monitor it!

Too many parents do not have the nerve or values to speak up. There is a similar cheer being done by a 6 yr old I know. The mom disapproves but doesn't want to rock the boat. It's just wrong!

You cant sit out your child for one cheer because then they will make alot more cheers the same way just to make a point. That parents dont have a say so!! I am a mom that stood up because so many others wouldn't. The mom doesnt need to show everyone else child in the video, the point is any 6 yr old shouldnt be learning such cheers so young.

My 7&6 year olds cheer. THANK GOD, none of the cheers speak anything like this. They are all good CLEAN cheers. Nothing suggestive to them at all. It is parents that see nothing wrong with this cheer on the news who will be grandparents when their daughter turns 14 or so. These parents are selling out their kids and we all wonder why our children get raped and murdered by pedo's. Well take a look at what you say is OKAY for a 6 year old to perform. I am still having a problem with the parents, not the cheer. What parent would let their little kid at age 6 become a cheer leader? Should'nt they be playing with their doll houses, coloring and such? This isn't news by any means, it's an explotation of kids. If only to become a parent, you had to pass an i.q. test prior to getting pregnant. That would solve alot of this type of thing.

It's not the parent's fault. They put their kids into cheerleading squads and stuff because their little girls want to make friends and have fun. It teaches them a lot of social skills also. It has nothing to do with the parents' I.Q.s. It has more to do with the coach and manager not wanting to back down and abusing their power. The little girls shouldn't be doing suggestive cheers like that especially when similar cheers have been banned by HIGH SCHOOLs. It's wrong and inappropriate.

Cheerleading was meant for high schoolers NOT elementary kids. And if it was promoted for them for fun then it should be age appropriate! With all of the sexual predators out there, I certainly would NOT want want any 6 year olds I know providing pleasure to some pervert!

This "cheer squad" is made up of very little girls, because the boys flag team is for very little boys. These teams are for the children to learn a team structure and to work in a group and to have fun. It was not designed to create Super Bowl champions or Dallas Cheerleader girls. There are things that are appropriate for little girls to cheer about. I went to Cheer camp when I was little and never had to do anything that made anyone uncomfortable. I never had to shake my booty or drop it like it's hot. And being a cheerleader doesn't pre-qualify you to be a slut later in life.

Actually I think you are incorrect. Yes, the coach did go off the deep end. Calling someone a lunatic on public radio is defamation of character. A lawyer in Florida succesfully bankrupted someone for doing that.

That is what pisses me off. If the coach and board quietly listened but did not act rash, this would have painted a different picture. In this case, the coach needs to be let go and the board needs to distance themselves from such a character.

By the way, my daughter is in cheerleading. I think cheerleading has taken a moral nose dive in the past twenty years, but that is reflective of our society norms in general.

That is your view. I would not call that going off the deep end. By the time the radio interview had taken place the club and coach had endured a truck load of negative comments. Again, all the negative stuff stemmed from Mrs. Tesch not getting her way fast enough and went to the media without letting the process even have a chance to work. She told lies and left out things that would have made her decision in question. When I say negative that is putting it mildly. We were being characterized as child molesters, they called our children sluts, said, we were just peddlers of smut and they even said, we were now up set because now we would not be able to let our girls preform sex acts at half time on the field. They were handling this quietly and internally. They did listen to her but Tesch chose to contact the media. Again she is only telling the story that puts her in a victims light. Parents told me that on at least one occasion Tesch's mother-in-law even threatened the coach, in person, with more media being brought. Tesch is not the victim. Her daughter is and Tesch brought this on herself. All the coaches and board member volunteer 20 to 30 hours each week for these kids. The coach has been extremely patient with the girls and the parents. I feel for her and her family for all the vile things that have been said.

She was well on her way down that slippery slope with her pattern of behavior. She would have continued to attempt to get her way. Some people live their lives through their children with sports, maybe this lady was using her daughter to get the attention she was not given as a child. I really don't know but I'm disgusted by her behavior. Poor Kennedy. If she goes to another cheer squad I hope they know the potential wrath they might be incurring.

I don't support this crazy mother at all! I think she was ignored as a child and now sees her poor daughter in the same light as the mean girls that picked on her and this is her way of finally getting back at them. This girl is 6 years old! How many people, at the games where this took place, do you think actually looked at these girls with lust in their eyes? BUT they were the ones that were drinking, smoking, smoking pot, and running around having sex. Since they were The Cheerleaders everyone thought they were all goody-goody and crap. Just like the false impression we get from athletes. Any thing has a possibility of being negative and any person as the possibility of being bad.

I, for one, am not the type of person that automatically labels cheerleaders as "@!$%#es" as a lot of girls do. I know for a fact that the girls at MY school did what they did. They would tell me. Talk about it in class.

For someone to come on here and rip a mother apart for something she felt was INAPPROPRIATE within reason for her CHILD I think is small-minded. Just because they were cheerleaders and think anything a cheerleader does is ok is small-minded. Think as a parent and the way the world is today (have you read the news lately?) the world is perverse. Everything is a sex joke or has an innuendo to it. "My back aches" is not only a line that makes no sense but it sounds awkward for a 6 year old to say. "Our skirts are too tight" is also a very awkward thing for a CHILD to say. That's the problem I have with the chant. The "booty" remark doesn't bother me - cartoon characters/kids movies say "Shake your booty" all the time in songs or when having fun and I doubt the booty shake the kids do is like Ricky Martin's or J-Lo's but a mere movement from left to right. Not a problem.

I'm giving you my opinion based on my child's POP Warner Football cheer leaders cheers. This is tame compared to what I hear and see being done with these children and the cheers.

I couldn't agree more. This isn't news. The fact that it has become news just makes the "problem" worse. I'm sure the mom is a good mother, trying to think what's best for her child but she should never have agreed to come on national news over this.
