The humble minivan is, it seems, one of those topics about which there is no middle ground. You're either pro or con. Love them or hate them. Drive one proudly or wouldn't be caught dead in one. Click here for readers' real-life minivan confessions.

Here's what a few TODAY Moms readers have to say. "Minivans rock" versus "I have not yet given up on life."

I have been having a love affair with my minivan for the past five years, since my oldest child was two years old. I "heart" my minivan! Now that I have three young daughters ages 1, 4, and 7, I can't imagine life without one. No other vehicle is made specifically with families in mind. And nowadays, minivans are so tricked out ... movie players, automatic entry, fold-away seats, etc. Mine has 17 cup holders! My favorite features are the sliding power doors and the roomy interior. On a rainy day, I can hop in the back seat, buckle my kids in and easily maneuver into the front seat without going back outside. My husband drives a fancy-schmancy sports car and he has admitted that he loves my minivan. So, face it ... minivans rock!

And con:

15 years ago, when I was expecting my son, my co-workers were convinced I'd have a minivan within a year. No way. I know they are practical, but there are other options! I have not yet given up on life. I've had a sedan, an SUV, and five years ago, I bought a Dodge Magnum with a Hemi engine. It's roomy, the hatch is practical, and it's fun to drive. Plus, my son is proud when I drop him off at school in what he calls the "coolest Mom car ever." Why don't Americans buy wagons? Sadly, Dodge no longer makes the Magnum.

I don't know about loving the minivan but I love the space it provides yet drives like a car not a truck.

Two growing boys, a greyhound, bikes, sports gear, and/or luggage plus friends = minivan!! We absolutely LOVE ours! 14 cupholders, too.

Mini vans are mostly rear wheel drive except for the Sienna, and cannot handle winter weather very well.

Vans are great! YOu can dfinatly carpool with other moms with more than one kid and they are pretty goood on gas better than most suv's, and comfortable for long trips, more leg room..... we've take 14 hour drive and had no issue.

                  convinced in texas

No way Jose...I don't disupute their practicality but I have to keep at least one shred of coolness in my otherwise 'mom-ified' life!

Hate the minivan and the people who drive them! Especially the Oddisey! For some reason people who drive that van are totally oblivious to others and need driving lessons.

My husband traded in his SUV for a minivan while I was out of town. But, once you have a minivan you will never go back!

I would much rather drive a mid-sized SUV with a 3rd row of seats and AWD.
