TODAY Moms comment of the week: "I got a girl cat."

In our Comment of the Week feature, we highlight some especially great/wise/funny/poignant comments made by our TODAY Moms audience. This week moms were talking about the HPV vaccine, red-headed kids,  mother-daughter hair wars, creepy kids' books and handling gender disappointment.

Our winner of the week is Ami Saab, who brought levity to the story about a mom who always wanted a daughter and ultimately found joy in having two sons.

Amy posted on our TODAY Moms Facebook page:

"I always wanted a girl. Then I got three boys. So I got a girl cat."

And our runner-up comment came from Courtnie Webb, in response to our mother-daughter hair wars post.

Courtnie's comment:

My mom always says you have to pick your battles. My siblings and I were good students and stayed out of trouble so when I decided to dye my hair black in 7th grade and they woke up to my brother with blue hair when he was 15 they didn't sweat it. It was self expression and didn't hurt anyone. As long as we bought the color they didn't mind. Now we're adults, we've all graduated from good schools, depending on what side of the BCS you fall on, and we're productive members of society. Just make sure your child's school doesn't have something in the dress code about it. And always remember, it's just hair, it will grow out. At least they're not asking for a tattoo.

We also have a few honorable mentions, in response to our Celeb Mom crush, which this week featured Victoria Beckham changing baby Harper's diaper in a high-falutin' NYC boutique.

We asked readers, "Where's the most outrageous place you've ever changed a diaper?"

Sol Soto said:

"I think the sidewalk on Canal Street while at Mardi Gras was the craziest place for me."

Kelly Dack Swienton said:

Under the arch in St. Louis.

And Leslie Lewis said:

On the trunk of a car in a traffic jam. On a bench at the dmv. On a bench in the lobby of a movie theater, they did not have a changing table, I called their corporate office and they gave my family free passes and put in a changing station because of my complaint.
